Come with us as we return to South America this summer to volunteer at La Casa De Fe, a home for abandoned and special needs children in Shell, Ecuador.

To the Beach!!! (Sara)

It is now 11:30pm and in 5 hours we will be on a bus with 16 kids and 7 adults for an all day bus ride. We are headed to the Beach in Esmeraldas with a detour to Quito to pick up the team that flew in for this trip.

The team came two years ago and took kids to the beach. From what we have heard there will be lots of fun and games for everyone. While we are not exactly sure what our days will look like while we are there, with as many people as are going it is sure to be a week of nonstop action.

Please pray for safety and health for everyone on the trip (the kids get carsick), and also that all the details will work out to transport, house, feed, and care for almost 40 people.

We probably won’t have internet access while we are gone, but we will take lots of pictures and tell you all about it when we are back in Shell.

Until then, here are some photos of what has been happening so far…

Tutoring time! We brought two of the kids over to our house to play reading games...

...and of course we made cookies as well

The todlers love to read

Erin got to tutor some kids in math

We have been enjoying the challenge of cooking with limited ingredients. This is our attempt at a Pizza.

All the kids got to decorate their hats durring art class

The kids sing songs every day at the begining of school

We were able to spend some one-on-one time with Dubi

Erin helped the little ones to blow bubbles
