Come with us as we return to South America this summer to volunteer at La Casa De Fe, a home for abandoned and special needs children in Shell, Ecuador.

Movie Monday: Pool Day Fun!

One of the kids’ favorite activities was to go swimming at the local pools. It was so much fun to see them laughing and playing in the water. This pool even had special water effects!
Once they got tired of swimming they found plenty of ways to entertain themselves.

Movie Monday: Walking Home

Sorry this one is a little late :)

While in Shell last summer we had the privilege of staying in the home of a missionary who was away for a few months. Every day we walked home up the big hill and through the gate to the home. We lived on the second floor. This video shows a little bit of what the community of shell is like.

Movie Monday: Coloring!

The upstairs main area is the perfect spot for big group activities. It is bigger than any space we had at the old building last year. When this video was taken we had a huge team working with us and the kids were enjoying the attention. We had passed out coloring books after the Bible time and the kids could have sat there forever.

Movie Monday: Ecuadorian for….

…Awesome Play Space!!

Although this may look like a flat, rock driveway, it is actually an amazing play area! Creativity and kids with lots of energy changed this space into a soccer field, a relay race track, a capture the flag battle zone, and so much more.
This was our first year working with the kids on the new property, and one of the best changes was the huge amount of space the kids had to run around in, both inside and out. Compared to the old 15’ by 15’ play/outdoor living area, the new home really is the “Promised Land.”
