Come with us as we return to South America this summer to volunteer at La Casa De Fe, a home for abandoned and special needs children in Shell, Ecuador.

The New Building

*Right now we are at the beach with the kids, but we wanted to share some photos with you while we are gone.

Each year we come to Casa de Fe we are amazed by the progress that has been made over the last year. Here is the newest addition –the school!

It is getting very close to being finished. Last year Emily, Luke, Sara and I helped pour the cement that formed the second floor. Three long days in the rain :0) Luke also helped with a lot of the other construction jobs on the school building last summer. It’s wonderful to see it almost done!

There are three classrooms on the bottom floor-

I love the pretty cement blocks they are using in the stairway-

Another exciting thing is the tilapia pond-

Eventually this will be a great source of food for the orphanage. The landscaping was done by a team from the states  -beautiful!
